The 2026 US Open quarterfinals feature four thrilling matchups at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday.

The women’s singles quarterfinals open with No. 2 seed Elena Rybakina facing Zheng Qinwen, the last unseeded contender in the women’s draw, looking to keep her Cinderella story alive. The second match will have fourth-seeded American Coco Gauff battling the No. 5 seed, Mirra Andreeva.

In the afternoon, the spotlight shifts to men’s singles competition.

No. 28 seed Alexander Blockx will take on unseeded Karen Khachanov for a spot in the semifinals. The evening’s final match will see top seed Alexander Zverev take on unseeded Botic Van De Zandschulp, rounding out the quarterfinal action.

Zheng, however, responded with a series of difficult-to-read serves that challenged Rybakina. Despite the pressure, Rybakina relied on her powerful serve to maintain control and extend her lead to 4-1.

The first match of the day is underway with Zheng serving first. Both players have been strong on their serves, with the first break point coming in the seventh game. Zheng was able to convert on the second break point for a 5-3 lead. Although Rybakina had several break points of her own, Zheng battled back each time to claim the first set 6-3.
