VisionQuest episode 7 just broke fans in a way they weren’t ready for. After J.A.R.V.I.S.’s devastating exit earlier this season, viewers are now panicking over two more beloved characters whose fates hang in the balance.

Did Friday and Paladin die in VisionQuest Episode 7 ending?

VisionQuest episode 7, titled “Immolation,” ended with a cliffhanger that left the fates of Friday (Orla Brady) and Paladin (Todd Stashwick) uncertain.

Ultron appeared to take out both characters in quick succession during the episode’s final moments. The show has not confirmed whether either character actually died, with the season finale set to air on November 10.

Fans flooded social media with emotional reactions after the episode aired. One viewer wrote, “Dude I am so pissed that Friday also DIED. I think she had suffered ever since she lost Tony, and then lost Jarvis. Then died.”

Another fan posted, “WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY KILLED FRIDAY??? This trilogy is absolutely wrecking me with all these deaths. Just PLEASE protect Edith, okay? She’s just a baby.”

The speed of both characters’ apparent exits stunned audiences. One fan wrote, “THEY TOOK PALADIN AND FRIDAY IN ONE FUCKING SECOND.” Another echoed the disbelief, posting, “FRIDAY AND PALADIN ARE GONE????” One viewer also observed, “Their deaths were lowkey just out of nowhere??? Absolutely no build up at all. POOR FRIDAY.”

However, some fans believe the show may be setting up a misdirection. One viewer theorized that Ultron may have only expelled Friday from Jocasta’s mind rather than destroying her. They argued the show would not rush Friday’s death, given how much attention J.A.R.V.I.S.’s earlier death received.

The season finale airs on November 10 on Disney+.
