Catherine personally thanks hospital staff for their 'incredible care' during her cancer treatment

The Princess of Wales returned to the Royal Marsden Hospital today to personally express her gratitude to staff who treated her during her cancer journey.
Catherine, who revealed in January 2025 that she was in remission, described the care she received as "incredible" during the visit to the specialist London facility.
Meeting with senior hospital figures, the future queen discussed plans for a new Centre for Holistic Wellbeing and Recovery.
She told executives and clinicians that the proposed expansion of holistic patient care would be "transformative," praising both the medical treatment and therapeutic support she experienced.
The visit followed Catherine's completion of the demanding three peaks challenge in June, which she finished within 24 hours to raise money for the new specialist centre at the Royal Marsden in central London.
Speaking about her fundraising efforts, the princess said: "This was my small way of being able to give back and say thank you to you."
She added: "I had incredible care here and support from a huge team and I'm really, really grateful on a personal level."
Catherine emphasised that holistic approaches, including therapeutic support alongside medical treatment, "makes a big difference."

During her visit, Catherine also spent time chatting with cancer patients at the hospital.

She formed a particular connection with a father living with a brain tumour, whom she called an "inspiration" after they shared experiences about the support their children had provided them.
The princess also reflected on the broader elements that aided her own recovery, stating: "The impact of nature, the impact of good nutrition, good ongoing support around you when it's really difficult to manage the trials and tribulations of medical treatments it makes a big difference."
She noted these factors had helped not only herself but numerous other patients she had spoken with.

The Princess and the Prince of Wales became Joint Patrons of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in 2025.
The engagement comes just one day after the Princess of Wales supported Prince William during a poignant engagement in Liverpool.
The Prince of Wales unveiled a new suicide prevention resource at Hill Dickinson stadium, bringing together the worlds of sport and mental health in a landmark initiative.
The toolkit, titled 'On Your Side', has been created by The Royal Foundation in collaboration with the British Standards Institution and the charity Chasing the Stigma.
The Princess of Wales chose to attend the launch alongside her husband to demonstrate her personal backing for the initiative.
