Chelsea Handler has a bone to pick with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines.
On a recent episode of her Dear Chelsea podcast, the comedian revealed that she purchased the couple’s Los Angeles home in 2021 and claimed that still hasn’t been able to live in it because it’s in such bad shape.
"Just some background information: I bought RFK Jr.'s house in Los Angeles five years ago," Handler began. "I did not know I was buying it from him. It was anonymous."

She explained that she purchased the home through a trust, so the sale was "all private" and details surrounding the house and its overall condition were kept under wraps.
“I bought his house from him and Cheryl Hines. I still have not lived in this house. That's how f---ed up this house was,” she said.
Referencing RFK Jr.'s current role as the secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, she continued, "The idea that this guy is in charge of the health of our country when he didn't even have a proper foundation at his house?"

The former Chelsea Lately host claimed that she didn’t realize how bad the house was until she had it inspected.
"When they opened up the house, they were like, 'This house is the most toxic environment. You cannot live here for at least two years,'" she said. "I'm not exaggerating any of this. It was a disaster and I didn't know it going in because everything was under wraps."
And it turns out, it wasn't just the house that had problems. Handler revealed that after fixing all of the damage, another house inspector flagged that the "illegal" outdoor storage unit the couple had placed on the property needs to be removed, too.

"There's a unit he has — a little outdoor storage unit — that's been there since I bought the property. And they're like, 'This is illegal,'" she said. "I'm like, 'Oh my God.' So now we have to remove his illegal bulls--- from my property and I'm like, 'How did they not find this upon the first inspection?'"
Handler also recalled that Hines had "the audacity" to leave her a note.
"Cheryl Hines left me notes saying, 'Let us know if there's anything we can do for you, Chelsea,'" Handler said. "I'm like, ‘Yeah, how about a f---ing foundation? That's something you could do for me.'"
She added, "Anyway. I'm not angry about it or anything. I'm totally over it."
Entertainment Weekly has reached out to representatives for RFK Jr. and Hines for comment.
Handler bought RFK Jr. and Hines' home for $5.9 million in 2021, per realtor.com. The couple, who married in 2014, purchased another house on the same street for $6.6 million.
