Kit Keenan has a unique way of describing her job as an influencer.Speaking with PEOPLE on the red carpet for the 2026 Gotham Ball on Thursday, May 14, the New York City-based content creator laughs that she often says being an influencer is like "doing a daily humiliation ritual."As for why, Keenan says that being out in public — like on the streets of New York — filming yourself can be slightly embarrassing at times. "Sometimes you just have to be on the street with your phone out in front of you," she shrugs.

Keenan is no stranger to the public eye, however, having grown up as the daughter of fashion icon Cynthia Rowley, who is known for her eponymous fashion brand. Keenan, now 26, was also a contestant on The Bachelor's 25th season featuring Matt James.Outside of Bachelor Nation, Kit has become known for her lifestyle, food and style content on social media, where she has 447,000 and 270,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, respectively.Responding to a question from PEOPLE about whether she sees herself following in her mom's footsteps, Keenan says. "I'm definitely more in the food and cooking space. That's like really where my heart is, but I appreciate fashion from afar. I'm so inspired by my mom so I love going to her studio and seeing what she's up to."
Keenan also touched on her relationship with her little sister, Gigi Powers, who is also an aspiring content creator, sharing how the two of them bounce ideas off of each other for their influencer jobs. Keenan says Powers "inspires" her and "keeps her young and cool."

She's also opened up about becoming her own person and overcoming a "socialite" label, despite growing up with a fashion designer for a mom.
"I think people think that my life is like Gossip Girl, and I've gotten the Blair Waldorf thing. I've kind of played into it a little bit," she said on the Bachelor Happy Hour co-hosted by Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin. "But obviously… oh my gosh, yeah. This is something that I've struggled with my entire life."
She's carved out her own niche online — recently announcing that she will be launching her own cookbook called In Good Taste.
