Coronation Street star shaves head ahead of gruelling breast cancer storyline

Coronation Street actor Jacob Roberts has shaved his head as his character Kit Green undergoes treatment for breast cancer.

The actor, who plays Detective Green in the ITV soap, appeared on the Lorraineshow on Tuesday (8 September) to discuss his character’s storyline.

The soap is working with Macmillan Cancer Support to raise awareness of breast cancer in men.

Earlier this week, the ITV soap character was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes.

This comes after Kit and his family discover they carry the familial BRCA gene.
