Nepo baby Apple Martin appears to be over the moon about the midterm results.
The 22-year-old daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin took to her Instagram story on November 4 to gush over the Democrats winning both the US Senate and the House of Representatives, thereby taking control of Congress for the rest of Donald Trump's presidency.
Projected results have provided the party with a number of things to celebrate - and rival Republicans some reasons to commiserate.

Martin reshared a graphic showing that Democrats have won the Senate, 51-39. At the top of the post, she commented five blue love heart emojis.
In the next slide, she reposted a statement from former President Barack Obama following the final results, in which he said, "Tonight, the American people sent a clear message - they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.

"These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country - including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first."

"We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy," he went on.

Obama's statement concluded, "While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future."
It comes after Martin's mom, Paltrow, recently asserted that she is "not a republican," even though her husband, Brad Falchuk, assumed she was.
During a recent episode of her Goop podcast that aired in June, the actor, 53, discussed her political views with guest Trae Stephens, co-founder of AI defense company Anduril.
Stephens praised Paltrow for saying she wanted to "engage in more dialogue" with people who had different opinions from hers.
"In my journey through being an American right now, trying to sort of weave together lots of different points of view, and also to get out of that place of righteousness and anger and fear," she continued.
"And I mean, I'm pretty centrist, and my husband thinks I'm a Republican," she said before clarifying that she is "not a Republican."
