Spain's footballers have struggled to hit top form at the World Cup, but their WAGs have been turning heads from the start.

The reigning European champions delivered outstanding football en route to defeating England in Germany two years ago, but Luis de la Fuente's squad has failed to find any rhythm in North America. Following a disastrous opening draw against Cape Verde, a commanding 4-0 triumph over Saudi Arabia steadied the ship, before a narrow 1-0 victory against 10-man Uruguay proved somewhat misleading.

It looked as though France flexing their muscles in the knockout stages had sparked Spain into life with a dominant 3-0 dismantling of Austria, yet they needed an injury-time strike from Mikel Merino to edge past a lackluster Portugal in the round of 16.

And Spain now finds itself in the semi-final against France, which is being played on July 14 in Arlington, Texas.

However, the players will draw strength and encouragement from the stands as The Mirror US examines the stunning partners supporting Spain.

"And if he does, he'll be so confused that he'll quickly look away again because there's a naked woman on my screen who just happens to look like me. I sat there and thought: I can't edit this here...But I did edit it there."
