Iran releases first pics of US submarine captured in Strait of Hormuz

Iranian state media released the first images of the U.S. submarine captured in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.
Videos and pictures posted by the IRNA News Agency show the sub in the ocean, a rope tethering it to an Iranian vessel. The video appears to be a tour of the vessel, with a narrator going up and down the sub and commenting on its capture in Persian.
The videos and photos have not been independently verified, and it's yet unclear whether the sub in them is actually the captured American vessel.

The submarine appeared tethered to an Iranian vessel via a rope or some other type of material. The Iranians appeared to string it along after capturing it.
This comes after Iran released a particularly chilling threat to Kuwait and Bahrain.

Iranian state media appeared to document the vessel well, taking photos from every angle of it. The letters "DI E LD appear on the side, along with a triangular logo.
Iran recently made its most chilling threat yet to Donald Trump and his family.

The U.S. military downplayed the seizure of the submarine, stating that it was "defective" and wasn't carrying any sensitive data or classified "equipment"

The drone, Hawkins said, "was surveying regional waters in support of ongoing operations." He added, "U.S. operations in area waters continue."

Sources told Fox News that the U.S. military struck targets near Kharg Island and Jask, with targets including Iranian oil tankers as part of a larger effort to squeeze Iran's economy

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement after the attack: "All oil tankers in the Kuwait and Bahrain area must be evacuated immediately. Given the atrocities of the U.S. terrorist army in targeting several Iranian oil tankers, we warn all oil tanker crews in the vicinity of the Kuwaiti and Bahraini ports - which host these terrorists and are complicit in their crimes - to immediately abandon their vessels, whether at anchor or alongside the docks, as they will be targeted"
