Jennifer Jason Leigh was a screen icon of the '80s and '90s, but she's better than ever in 2026.
Leigh, 64, became a superstar with her role as Stacy Hamilton in the iconic 1982 teen flick Fast Times at Ridgemont High. But in the years that followed, the blonde beauty proved she's got plenty of talent, thanks to roles in films like Single White Female, Backdraft, Rush, and Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle. A role on Weeds and in the Noah Baumbach film Margot at the Wedding kept her busy during the late aughts, but it was her role as Daisy Domergue in The Hateful Eight that brought her back to critical acclaim, earning her an Academy Award nomination.
Not one to step in front of an endless barrage of cameras, Leigh made a rare red carpet appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix's Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood this week. Dressed in a cream-colored tweed suit, the blond beauty is aging with grace and looks incredible.

What is Something Very Bad is Going to Happen About?
A new horror series starring Adam DiMarco and Camila Morrone, Something Very Bad is Going to Happen follows Rachel, a bride-to-be, "as a dreamy proposal spirals into a slow-burn nightmare, leaving her to suspect that walking down the aisle to marry Nicky (played by DiMarco) may end in something far more sinister than a wedding vow," according to Netflix.
As for Leigh's character, she plays the matriarch of Nicky's family, "a fiercely controlling romantic who’s turned marriage into the family’s ruling religion."
Executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, who are best known for Stranger Things, Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen premieres on Netflix on March 26. To check out the trailer, watch below:

Leigh's work calendar is already piling up with new gigs. Variety reported last week that she just joined the cast of Bishop, a thriller for Prime Video from Amazon MGM Studios. She'll play John Malkovich's sister in the new cop series.
