Jennifer Lawrence showed off her darkest hair color since 2012 on July 9.
The No Hard Feelings actress traded her signature honey blonde hair for a brunette dye job in New York City.
Lawrence famously sported brown hair for her roles in The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook.
Jennifer Lawrence is a natural blonde and has made her honey-hued locks her calling card throughout most of her career. However, the No Hard Feelings actress had fans feeling nostalgic as she brought back her Katniss Everdeen-era brown hair with a bold beauty transformation on July 9.

In photos shared by Just Jared, Lawrence had fans doing a double take as she swapped her signature buttery blonde tresses for a warm brown hair color. The Silver Linings Playbook actress styled her new brunette hair in a messy high ponytail with her wavy bangs and face-framing pieces styled to the side, showing off her makeup-free complexion.
Lawrence put her casual street style on display during her New York City outing, pairing her new beauty look with a dark blue T-shirt printed with an image of hands playing a piano keyboard. She added a pair of white balloon pants trimmed with lace at her ankles and a pair of cognac brown strappy leather sandals. She slung a red leather bag over one shoulder for her stroll.

The mom-of-two—who shares two sons with husband Cooke Maroney—famously dyed her hair dark brown for her roles in the Hunger Games franchise as well as Silver Linings Playbook. However, she was back to blonde once she wrapped up filming in 2012.

While Lawrence has made her blonde hair her signature hue since then, she has experimented with haircuts, chopping her long tresses into a lob and a pixie. In recent years, she’s embraced her bangs era—another trend she previously sported during her Hunger Games days.
After cutting them during her pregnancy in October 2024, she chopped a wispy ‘70s-inspired fringe last September between red carpet events at the San Sebastián International Film Festival. Most recently, the star showed off eyelash-grazing full front bangs with chest-length tresses while attending the Christian Dior Haute Couture Week Spring/Summer 2026 show on January 26. She showed off the fresh chop with a white tank top, billowy light wash jeans, and a long black peacoat trimmed with furry accents on the sleeves.
