Vampirina may be stepping into her pop star power — but a wicked new force is about to take over the spotlight.

** has an exclusive first look at Jodie Sweetin as the show’s upcoming evil Sorcerer Queen, who will make her appearance as the new Big Bad when the Disney Channel show returns for season 2 on Oct. 6.

*Vampirina: Teenage Vampire’s* second season will consist of six episodes and pick up directly after everyone’s favorite teen vamp Vee Hauntley (Kenzi Richardson) realized she could feed off the love of her fans after opening for pop star Millie Eyelash (Ariel Martin). While Vee will be riding high, Sweetin will quickly arrive to throw everything into disarray.

“Let’s just say the Sorcerer Queen will throw *everything* into chaos and force Vampirina to make some very difficult choices,” the *Full House* star tells EW about her mysterious role on the series, noting that she “loved” getting to step into such a villainous character.

“When you put the makeup and costume on, you can’t help but transform yourself,” she admits, adding that she “really got to lean into it and really have fun creating her wicked laugh and her powerful casting of spells.”

Fans of Sweetin are surely in for a surprise — the ‘90s star, who catapulted into the spotlight as the beloved Stephanie Tanner on* **Full House*, is unrecognizable as the Sorcerer Queen, sporting a black wig, face paint, and an extensive costume to bring the character to life.

Sweetin tells EW that transforming into the evil role took up to two and a half hours each day due to the “layers and layers” of makeup required.

“But our makeup and hair department was so incredible and made me nearly unrecognizable to myself,” she continues, adding that the costume department also “knocked it out of the park.”

“Dramatic, dark, and spooky,” she says of the look. “Something I don’t get to play with often!”

Inspired by Anne Marie Pace’s *Vampirina Ballerina* novels and the Disney Junior animated series of the same name, *Vampirina *follows Vee, a teenage vampire who leaves Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school to chase her dreams of becoming a singer while also navigating friendship, family, supernatural snags, and, oh, yeah, hiding the fact she’s undead.

While season 1 of the series ended with Vampirina feeding off the love she received from the crowd during her pop star performance, that high was quickly squashed when she and longtime crush Elijah (Shaun Dixon) — who also happens to be a vampire hunter — confessed their feelings, only to get blasted away from each other when they tried to touch. There was also the pesky issue of the mirror in the attic, which seemingly opened a portal for every previously caged monster to escape into their school.

Season 2 will continue to play on those threads, with Vee and her friends returning to Wilson Hall with new musical dreams while trying to make sense of the prophecy that dictates that Vee and Elijah can never be together (plus, you know, dealing with all those monsters).

Joining Vee and Elijah will be the returning faces of Vee’s roommate, Sophie (Jiwon Lee), 600-year-old ghost Demi (Milo Maharlika), and frenemy Britney (Faith Hedley). Newbies Ava Jean and Hudson Stone (*Camp Rock 3*) are set to guest star alongside Sweetin.

*Vampirina* season 2 premieres on Disney Channel on Oct. 6, and the full season will be available to stream the next day on Disney+.
