Julia Roberts Debuts Her Brightest Hair Transformation in Two Years

Julia Roberts appeared at the Moncler Fifth Avenue opening cocktail party and dinner in New York City on September 10.

She debuted a fresh bright blonde hair look for the outing.

This is her brightest hair look in around two years.

Julia Roberts has a new ‘do—and it’s one of her brightest blondest moments to date. The actress stepped out for the Moncler Fifth Avenue opening cocktail party and dinner in New York City on September 10, where she wore a black and white ensemble that showed off her striking new blonde hair.

Back in July, Roberts shared an anniversary selfie with her husband Danny Moder that gave a peek at her subtle reddish brunette shade. Now, she’s switched things up with a hue that could almost be described as a Barbie blonde.

Although Roberts may be best known for her auburn locks over the years, this isn’t the first time, she’s brightened things up. Back in 2024, she underwent another hair transformation, once again rocking an extra light blonde shade. After spending much of 2025 with darker hair, in January, she once again returned to a slightly lighter honey blonde hue.

As her longtime hair stylist Serge Normant told Refinery29in 2020, Roberts’s hair never fails to capture the imagination.

“Whether it’s bright blonde and sleek or messy and held up with a claw clip—and there’s something that people identify with. It’s her glow, and it’s infectious,” he said. “You might love her blonde and think that the color is amazing, but then the next day she could be back to red and you forget about the blonde. She’s magical that way.”

With her newly lightened locks, Roberts, styled by Elizabeth Stewart, wore a simple black and white look comprised of tailored black pants, a white buttoned shirt, a black bowtie, and an unexpected black sparkly puffer jacket. She accessorized with an array of sparkly gold rings on her fingers and carried a black clutch.
