Aneha Singh and Cam Halloran faced a difficult decision at the altar during the season 11 finale of Love Is Blind

Despite exchanging heartfelt vows, Aneha became visibly anxious before telling Cam she wasn’t ready to marry him, insisting she still wanted to remain engaged

Cam initially accepted her decision but later admitted he needed time to reconsider their relationship

A groom was left standing at the altar on Love Is Blind after his bride made an unexpected decision about their future together.

During the Wednesday, Nov. 4 finale of the Netflix dating series, Aneha Singh and Cam Halloran’s wedding took an uncomfortable turn when Aneha struggled to answer whether she was ready to say “I do.” Despite expressing her love for Cam, Aneha ultimately decided against getting married, leaving her fiancé emotional and their relationship hanging in the balance.

Ahead of the ceremony, Aneha, 28, appeared optimistic about their future, telling her friends and family that she and Cam, 29, were “tied for life.”

“When he talks, when he communicates, when he shows affection, when he reassures me, if he compliments me, that altogether, he’s the perfect guy,” Aneha said.

But the absence of her parents weighed heavily on her as the wedding approached. “My parents aren’t here. It’s freaking me out,” she admitted, explaining that her mother and father knew about the ceremony but wouldn’t be in attendance.

Her sister also expressed reservations about the relationship, telling Aneha that while she believed Cam was a good person, she wasn’t convinced he was the right partner for her. “I think he likes you. I don’t know if he likes you in this way,” she said before encouraging Aneha to say no at the altar.

Cam, meanwhile, acknowledged that he had yet to meet or speak with Aneha’s parents, something he described as a lingering concern throughout their relationship. He wondered whether or not they wanted to meet him, or if they didn’t want to be part of the experiment. Still, the couple made their way to the altar, where Cam delivered an emotional declaration of love.

“From the first time I heard her voice, from that moment on, every time I stepped into the pods and I knew she was on the other side, I would smile,” Cam said. “It was a sense of comfort and calmness.”

“We challenge each other, make each other better people,” he added, praising Aneha for her kindness, intelligence and generosity.

Aneha appeared overwhelmed by his words, playfully interrupting to ask, “You mean that?”

When it was her turn to speak, Aneha said she entered the experiment unsure whether she would find someone who accepted her quirks. “I didn’t think I could find someone who would love me for me and didn’t want me to change,” she said, before praising Cam for his personality and admitting, “I’m anxious, if you couldn’t tell.”

The tension only grew when the officiant asked Aneha whether she would commit to marrying Cam. After a lengthy pause, she struggled to find the words. “I’m freaking out,” she confessed. “I need, like, a second. I feel weird. I don’t know why I feel like this. I feel anxious.”

Cam attempted to lighten the mood as the room watched the exchange unfold. “Now you’re speechless,” he joked, prompting Aneha to respond, “That’s so mean.”

“It’s a tough time to stop talking,” he added, as some in attendance laughed.

The mood shifted when Aneha finally revealed her decision. “I think I was the first one who said, ‘You’re my person,’” she said. “And even with all the challenges that we’ve had, we’ve had so many amazing experiences together.”

“I still believe you’re my person. But I do not today,” she added. “I mean, I need more time.”

Cam appeared hurt by the rejection but reassured Aneha that he understood. “It’s okay. It’s a big decision,” he replied. “I feel like we both need to be 100% confident.”

The pair then embraced as their guests applauded, but Aneha seemed determined to make it clear that her decision didn’t mean the end of their relationship. “We said I don’t,” she announced before walking back down the aisle. She then turned toward Cam and declared, “You’re still my fiancé.”

Cam remained at the altar as Aneha walked away, thanking their friends and family for attending the ceremony. The two ultimately exited the ceremony separately and Aneha told her bridesmaids that she believed she was still engaged. “I think I still have a fiancé,” she said.

She explained that while she loved Cam and could envision marrying him one day, she didn’t believe he was ready to be a husband, despite having “the makings of a great husband.” Cam, however, had a different perspective. While speaking with his parents after the ceremony, he admitted he was struggling to process what had happened.

“It’s a lot,” he said as his mother attempted to reassure him that Aneha still considered him her fiancé.

“I don’t know what happens now,” he admitted. “It’s emotional, standing up there by yourself, watching your fiancée walk away.”

Although he acknowledged that Aneha had made the decision she believed was right for her, Cam couldn’t shake his disappointment. When the couple reunited after the ceremony, Aneha revealed that she had been crying and asked Cam how he was feeling. Cam said he was still struggling with Aneha’s parents not attending the wedding or not meeting him, admitting it was difficult not to interpret their absence as a sign of disapproval.

“It’s hard for me not to feel like they don’t approve of me to an extent,” he said. “It’s hard and a lot to process.”

Aneha, meanwhile, maintained that she simply needed more time before taking the next step. But when she asked where their relationship stood, Cam said he wasn’t sure whether he wanted to continue. “I feel like I need some time to process everything,” he told her.

When Aneha pressed him on if that meant reconsidering their relationship altogether, he replied, “I think so, yeah.”

His response caught Aneha off guard, particularly because she had made it clear that she still wanted to marry him eventually. Cam explained that while he loved her, he wasn’t convinced they could return to their engagement after what happened.

“I think it’s somewhat of a fantasy world to say, yeah, we’re gonna go to the altar, say no and then still be engaged and continue our relationship,” he said in a confessional. “Like, it sounds great, but in the back of my mind, I know that it hasn’t worked out, and what’s the point of continuing, to be honest.”

He ultimately told Aneha that he needed more time to process the experience, leaving their future uncertain.
