Orlando Bloom is officially saying goodbye to his longtime Southern California home.
The Deep Cover star, 49, has listed his Malibu, Calif., abode where he lived for over a decade for $12 million. Bloom first purchased the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home for $2.5 million in 2011, according to property records. At the time, he was married to Miranda Kerr. The pair split in 2013 after three years.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal about the recent listing, the actor admitted he was hesitant to part ways with his beachfront home at first. However, he hasn’t lived there for several years and decided to rent it out last year.
“It felt like it might be the right time to let it go,” he told the outlet, noting that he now lives further north in California.

Chris Cortazzo of Compass, who currently holds the listing, tells PEOPLE that Bloom's Malibu home is such a special property because of the "sense of sanctuary it provides."
“In Malibu, high-profile individuals like Orlando Bloom aren't just looking for a home, they are looking for a refuge. This estate, steps away from one of Malibu’s most beautiful beaches, offers a rare resort-like atmosphere where you can move from a chef’s kitchen to an ocean-view pool in total privacy," Cortazzo says.

The Malibu property is also the home where Bloom and Kerr’s son Flynn, now 15, spent his early years, he told WSJ. Along with Flynn, Bloom shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with ex Katy Perry.
The Lord of the Rings alum made extensive renovations to the property during his time there. He told the outlet that the entire transformation cost more than twice what he originally paid for the home.
He transformed the ground floor into a more open layout where the living room and kitchen area flow together, as it was “a bit higgledy, piggledy,” when he first bought it, he said. He also added an outdoor pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

The 4,180-square-foot property is located above El Matador State Beach and boasts sweeping views of the coastline. Bloom said he was initially drawn to the home, located in a gated community, due to its privacy and access to the beach.

Additional amenities include a fireplace, hot tub, gym and outdoor seating areas. The property also encourages indoor/outdoor living with glass doors leading out to the back and side yards, as well as a dining area that opens up directly to the covered terrace. The primary suite boasts more glass doors that lead out to the wraparound deck.

Bloom described the design of the home as having a “Japanese feel to it.” He also noted the garage was where he kept his prized motorcycle collection, as “right out the door, you’ve got the most amazing drives through the Malibu canyons.”
Bloom’s decision to put his home up for sale comes nearly one year after he and Perry ended their engagement after nine years together, PEOPLE confirmed in June 2025.

"They're both super committed to keeping this family dynamic," the insider said at the time, noting that it's "all amicable and pretty easy." The source added that Bloom and Perry are "always gonna be family and put their daughter first."
Since their split, the “Firework” singer has started dating former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, to whom she was first linked in summer 2025.
