Piers Morgan has consistently been vocal about his opinions regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle - as demonstrated in the most recent episode of The Royals Uncensored. Joining hosts Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin, alongside former royal butler Grant Harrold, on the show, the 61-year-old disclosed the harsh nickname he alleges the couple are referred to by in America, following their move back to the UK after six years residing in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, together with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, are believed to be residing in England's Cotswolds - a stark contrast from the American lifestyle they first embraced together in 2020.

According to Piers, who owns property in California, "people don't care" about them in the US state, regardless of their status. This comes after Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, a Cotswolds resident, shared the brutal nickname he has for Meghan.

He also alleged that locals in the English countryside won't be particularly affected by their arrival, suggesting they are seldom star-struck by celebrity presence.

Following their UK return, numerous observers have questioned how Harry and Meghan will generate income, especially after King Charles made clear that they continue as non-working royals.

In a guidance letter, issued on the King's behalf by the Lord Chamberlain, a senior Palace official, confirmed that the couple will be prohibited from using the titles of "His and Her Royal Highness" and will continue as "private citizens".

The Duke and Duchess are believed to have been caught off guard by the correspondence, though Palace insiders maintained this was inaccurate, stating that Harry and Meghan had been informed prior to senior Government officials receiving it.

Addressing the issue on the podcast, Piers suggested the couple will be "trying to do tours and events and charity appearances" as private individuals. "What they want to do is be half in and half out," he asserted.

Piers stated that, based on information from his source with ties to the family, their UK return "has gone down like a sack of old rotting potatoes".

"It's gone down very badly because they immediately see the problem, which is having these rival reengages, who, you know, in America they're known as the grifters, the royal grifters and they're going to be grifting away to make themselves wealthy to pay for all the burgeoning costs, but they're not going to be doing the shift work that the actual royals do," he added.

He went on to say: "I think it's stinking hypocrisy." This month, Prince Harry will spearhead multiple charity initiatives as he begins his UK engagements.

The Duke of Sussex will participate in the inaugural Invictus Spirit Awards and the launch of the Invictus education programme INSPIRE, along with attending one of his most cherished annual events, the WellChild Awards.
