Prince William may be destined for the throne, but much of his existence isn't exclusively royal and luxurious.

Rather, the Prince of Wales encounters aspects of everyday life that closely mirror those of ordinary citizens, from casual outings to child-rearing challenges and private family gatherings. During his childhood, the late Princess Diana was recognized for fostering his appreciation for normalcy by ensuring that her sons, William and Harry, had regular experiences beyond the Palace's confines. These included visits to amusement parks and McDonald's.

Today, other individuals in William's circle continue providing him with that same sense of everyday life. This comes as Princess Diana's relaxed approach to parenting was revealed.

Princess Catherine's relatives play this role, as William has consistently maintained strong ties with them. Grant Harrold, a former royal butler who worked from 2004 through 2011, witnessed this dynamic both during his Palace service and afterward.

In conversation with Smooth Spins Casino, Grant explained that Catherine's relatives benefit William by enabling him to enjoy "a wonderful normal lifestyle."

He stated, "Pippa and the wider Middleton family are really good for William, as they've offered this whole other side of family life. While he was brought up royal, his mother Diana did try to bring him up in as much of normality as possible.

"That's something that the Middleton family still offers him. We know he is the future monarch, but he gets a wonderful normal lifestyle when he's with Kate's family."

William rarely discusses his in-laws publicly, though he is understood to have maintained a strong relationship with them since the beginning of his romance with Princess Catherine more than two decades ago.

Throughout the years, this strong relationship has been observed by the public and captured on camera during occasions including Royal Ascot and other major royal gatherings the Middletons attend.

Catherine's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, are understood to hold their son-in-law in equally high regard.

Speaking in 2010 following the announcement of Catherine and William's engagement, Michael shared with the press, "We all think he's wonderful and we are extremely fond of him."

Kate Middleton is also reportedly set to accompany her husband, Prince William, to India for the 2026 Earthshot Prize, marking a step in her return to royal duties.

Recently, a former flight attendant has lifted the lid on Kate Middleton and Prince William's bizarre travel rule ahead of their reported upcoming trip to India.

As senior members of the Royal Family, the Prince and Princess of Wales, must follow certain royal flight protocol. However, Kate and William have a rule that applies only to them, according to former British Airways air hostess and ex-Love Islander Helena Ford, who observed the couple while assisting them before flying to the famous reality TV show's villa in Majorca.

Ford told Made in Chelsea alumni, Olivia Bentley, on the Private Parts podcast (per Hello!), "I think there is a thing in place where they can't fly in the highest cabin, so if there's a first class, they have to sit in business, and if there isn't a first class, they have to sit in Traveler Plus.

British Airways is the Royal Family's go-to airline, but Kate has a special connection to the company, as both her parents met while working there.

Her mother, Carole, had been a former air hostess, while her father, Michael, had worked as an aircraft dispatcher.
