Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden’s trip to the United States continued last night with a gala reception for the inauguration of the Consulate General of Sweden in Houston.

For the occasion, the Swedish heir to the throne wore a sparkling, sequined column dress from H&M paired with “Dream Dragonfly Earrings” from Swedish jeweler Maria Nilsdotter. The dragonfly earrings are a thoughtful nod to the Lone Star State; according to the Texas Wildlife Association, there are over 150 different species of dragonfly in the state.

It was a full repeat of an outfit she wore while visiting London in November 2023, though last night she carried a different purse.

According go the Swedish Royal House’s Instagram, “The Consulate General shall promote cooperation in trade, investment and innovation. Texas is the world's eighth largest economy. It is also the second largest state in the United States. Approximately 16,000 Swedes live in Texas today.”

Earlier in the day, Princess Victoria visited the Space Center Houston (the official visitor center for NASA’s Johnson Space Center) for a signing ceremony marking Sweden’s entry into the Pax Silica initiative. Per the U.S. Department of State, “Pax Silica is the Department of State’s flagship effort on AI and supply chain security, advancing new economic security consensus among allies and trusted partners.” While there, she also spoke with Swedish-American astronaut Jessica Meir, who is currently on the International Space Station.

The Crown Princess is now set to visit Austin, then Norfolk, Virginia, where NATO’s allied naval forces are headquartered.
