Producer Joel Little played coy when asked about his former collaborator Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Little — who was a co-writer and co-producer on Swift’s seventh studio album, Lover — briefly talked about the mega pop star’s wedding to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce during his appearance on the Wednesday, Sept. 2, episode of the A Little Bit Extra with Sharyn Casey podcast.
“I posted a picture of myself and my wife [Gemma] in New York, in a tuxedo, on the day [after] the wedding,” Little said, referring to a glamorous photo of the couple in coordinating black formalwear shared on Instagram on July 4. The post was set to Swift’s “Love Story” and captioned “Fun night last night ❤️.”
He joked, “Everyone assumes that I actually went just because of all those things. I never said that I went. If I had been invited, I would’ve had to sign an NDA, and it would’ve been ironclad.”

The Grammy Award-winning songwriter then smiled and said, “If I had gone, I reckon it would have been pretty awesome.”
When pressed for more details about the wedding — which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3 — he kept quiet.
“I don’t know anything about what you’re talking about,” Little responded after laughing.
Little first met Swift, 36, backstage at a Broods concert in Los Angeles, and they reconnected when she was in New Zealand on tour in 2018, he explained to Billboard in 2019. A few weeks later, Swift invited him to New York to write music together after realizing they had a strong creative connection.
“I’m just a massive fan of hers,” Little told Billboard. “I think she’s a genuine songwriting genius and she’ll go down as one of the most iconic pop stars of all time. She’s in that upper echelon, where getting to work with her is like the holy grail for pretty much every pop songwriter.”

Little worked on four tracks for Swift’s 2019 album Lover: “ME! (featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco),” “You Need to Calm Down,” “The Man,” and “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.”
“I was absolutely shitting myself before our first session, but it went great,” he recalled to Billboard. “We just clicked creatively right away and it was so easy, like we’d been writing together for years. I couldn’t believe it.”
On A Little Bit Extra with Sharyn Casey, Little called Swift a “genius.”
“You’re just lucky to be in the room with her,” he said of working with Swift. “She’s so talented and just comes in with incredible ideas... She’s going to be one of the all-time greats.”

Little and Swift also co-wrote and co-produced “Only The Young,” which was released in 2020 in conjunction with Swift’s Netflix documentary Miss Americana, in which Little appeared.
Four years later, Little attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour shows with his family.
“What a night. Many tears were shed, and my kids cried too. Seeing @taylorswift play the songs we made in front of 96,000 people, and having my wife and our Taylor-obsessed kids there with me, is a feeling that’s hard to describe,” Little wrote on Instagram alongside a group photo with Swift on Feb. 16, 2024. “Let’s just say it’s a pretty good feeling. We work hard in this music business and being able to share the big moments with the people we love makes it all worthwhile. A huge thank you to Taylor and her awesome team for having us ❤️.”
