Psychologist Reveals What Could Make Trump’s Loyal Aide Natalie Harp Turn Against Him

Donald Trump’s ‘human printer’, Natalie Harp, has made headlines for her intense loyalty to the president. She is often spotted with Trump at his golf course, chasing his golf cart on foot, jumping on another vehicle to follow him when denied a motorcade seat in his New York criminal trial.
In her published letters to Trump, she wrote, “You are all that matters to me,” and “Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.”
Her loyalty has given her unusual access to Trump, including meetings and close people that other aides would not normally be around. However, a psychologist who spoke with The Irish Star believes even that unwavering loyalty could have a breaking point.
The One Condition That Could Change Natalie Harp’s Loyalty
Boston University professor William Kahn said there is one thing that could change Harp’s feelings toward Trump: betrayal. “The only thing that would do it is if she experienced herself truly betrayed by him,” he told The Irish Star, adding, “But if there’s a powerful sense of betrayal, then it’s quite possible that she would ‘turn’ on him.”
However, it was difficult for Kahn to imagine what could actually cause that kind of break. According to him, Harp has become so devoted to Trump that much of her own identity has been linked to him. “She has essentially given up a separate sense of herself.”
Kahn is a professor of organizational behavior at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, not a clinical psychologist.
When asked about what could cause the two to split, Kahn pointed to Trump’s attention turning towards “another young woman.” “If there was a public humiliation of the discard of the former, that might lead to a sense of betrayal.” Kahn added that he had never personally noticed such jealously between them.
According to Kahn, people in powerful positions can create competition among themselves, including fighting for attention. He stated that he could not be certain whether that was the case between Harp and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“I never really spent much time looking at the two of them together,” he continued. “I do know that people who are in power when they’re insecure about others’ affections will pit people against one another, such that they’re always vying for his affection.”
The Narcissistic Dynamic
According to Kahn, Trump has narcissistic personality disorder and often uses loyal aides as mirrors of his desired self-image.
“I think for me it’s pretty clear and people like that look to others to be mirrors of most of the parts of themselves they’re most compelled by,” said Kahn. “And so I think he has always had young women around him who adore him who will show him in his own eyes how wonderful and handsome and young and powerful and virile he is.”
Kahn added, “And the more that happens, the more the relationship will maintain.” He noted that should the president’s bond with Harp ever come under threat, “he’ll find someone else.”
He also contrasted Harp with Elon Musk, saying the billionaire “never lost a complete sense of identity” the way she has. Elon Musk has always been about him and how unique a character he is in the world,” he told the outlet.
“So he never lost a complete sense of identity and gave it over to someone else the way she is.”
