Shia LaBeouf claims his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, âwas kicked off so many setsâ and upset his costars Lucy Liu and Sigourney Weaver with his inappropriate behavior
Liu allegedly avoided Jeffrey, whom she reportedly found difficult due to his behavior on set
Weaver allegedly slapped the actorâs dad after he âhit onâ her on the set of Holes, according to Shia
Shia LaBeouf says his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, âwas kicked off so many setsâ and upset his female costars by continuouslyâhitting onâ them. On one set, Shia claims, his fatherâs behavior caused Sigourney Weaver to slap him.
After an audience member at a Tennessee fan convention asked Shia, 40, about his âexperienceâ working with Charlieâs Angels: Full Throttle costars Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu, he recalled how his dad allegedly soured his relationships with the actresses. Shia also revealed that another one of his former castmates, Weaver, allegedly slapped his father on the set of Holes.
âMy dad was fresh out of prison, so we were on this set, and hereâs all these pretty girls walking around. Bad news,â Shia told the crowd during a Transformers reunion panel at the 2026 Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday, July 11.
âMy dad was hitting on all three of those women all the time,â he continued, seemingly referring to Diaz, Liu and Drew Barrymore, who play the movieâs titular Angels.

Liu was particularly not fond of Jeffrey, Shia alleged during the panel, recalling how the now-57-year-old actress would avoid his father on the set of the 2003 action-comedy film.
âLucy Liu couldnât stand my dad,â he said. âShe couldnât stand him. But he wasnât going nowhere, heâs my dad. So we were just hanging out all the time, and Lucy Liu would always do these big circles around my trailer.â
He went on to allege that Liu ânever wanted to be around âcause my dad was always whistling at her.â
The set of Shiaâs other 2003 movie, Holes, was similar, he then revealed. âMy dadâs been kicked off of so many sets, dude,â he continued. âHe hit on Sigourney Weaver one time. She slapped him on Holes, on the Holes set. So, thatâs probably⊠thatâs what I remember from Charlieâs Angels.â

Jeffrey was convicted of attempted rape in 1981 and served a prison sentence until 1983, according to The Sun. He previously told journalist Aaron Gell that he had âa conviction for attempted rapeâ and âwas registered as a sex offender under Meganâs Law.â
âI went to the joint for attempted rape. This was in 1980. Whatever I was doing, I have no clue. I was blackout drunk,â Jeffrey claimed to Gell in 2019, as his complicated father-son relationship entered the spotlight due to Shiaâs semi-autobiographical 2019 movie Honey Boy. (Shia later said he âvilifiedâ his father and called his depiction of Jeffrey as abusive in the film âf---ing nonsense.â)
Jeffrey now reportedly lives in New Orleans, where Shia relocated from California in hopes of finding a fresh start after his split from ex Mia Goth last year, a source told PEOPLE in February.
âHeâs very close with his dad and wanted to spend more time with his dad,â the source added at the time.
