- Trump’s former reality series *The Apprentice* was nominated eight times for an Emmy, but never won.

- *South Park *creators also announced they renamed the series *South America*, following Trump’s change of Lake Ontario to Lake America.

After eight Emmy Award nominations and zero wins, President Donald Trump has finally been recognized by the Television Academy — even if it’s at his own expense.

*South Park* received an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program, honoring its episode “Sermon on the Mount,” which lampoons the Republican leader’s administration and even depicts him as Satan’s lover. After their win on Sunday night, the Comedy Central show’s social media accounts celebrated the win by throwing yet another jab Trump’s way.

“You finally got your Emmy,” read an animated image of Trump, with his pants down around his ankles, clutching the trophy in his right hand and surrounded by *South Park *characters Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny, as well as Jesus and Satan.

But there was one more surprise for Trump, who most recently signed an executive order to rename Lake Ontario as Lake America amid a trade war with Canada.

On Tuesday, *South Park* creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker announced a major change for their series after 29 years: “Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of *South Park* to SOUTH AMERICA,” they said in a statement.

“We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation,” added Stone and Parker, taking a swipe at the controversial merger that delayed the show’s season 27 premiere, which launched with “Sermon on the Mount.”

Trump has yet to respond to either dig by Stone and Parker, but the White House didn’t hesitate to slam the president’s shocking depiction following the July 23, 2025, episode.

“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told ** via email at the time. “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

*South Park* only continued to poke the president. In subsequent episodes, Trump impregnated Satan and went on to engage in a sexual relationship with Vice President JD Vance (in the Lincoln Bedroom, no less).

His arc was initially only meant to be a cameo, revealed the show’s creative duo. But the “taboo” of criticizing Trump’s administration was too tantalizing.

“Trey and I are attracted to that like flies to honey,” Stone told *The New York Times* in November 2025. “Oh, that’s where the taboo is? Over there? OK, then we’re over there... We just had to show our independence somehow.”

Parker added that the government “is just in your face everywhere you look. Whether it’s the actual government or whether it is all the podcasters and the TikToks and the YouTubes and all of that, and it’s just all political and political because it’s more than political. It’s pop culture.”

*South Park*’s 29th season premieres next Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central (and available to stream the next day on Paramount+).
