Texas A&M's all-time leading scorer Wade Taylor IV could be headed to a new home for his second professional season.
Luke Evangelist of TexAgs reported Wednesday that the Noblesville Boom, the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, acquired Taylor's returning-player rights as part of a three-team trade involving the Mexico City Capitanes and Osceola Magic. Noblesville also acquired the returning-player rights to forward Patrick Gardner in the deal.
After going undrafted, Taylor spent his rookie season with Mexico City, where he averaged 13.7 points, 6.1 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals across 50 games with the Capitanes. He led Mexico City with 302 assists and finished third on the team with 688 points.

Before beginning his professional career, Taylor established himself as one of the most accomplished players in Texas A&M basketball history. The Dallas native played four seasons for the Aggies and finished his career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,058 points, surpassing Bernard King's previous record of 1,990.
The transaction gives Noblesville Taylor's returning-player rights if he returns to the G League for the 2026-27 season. The Boom are entering their second season as the Indiana Pacers' G League affiliate.
